Road to Victory

I was taking my morning jog the other day and i always try to challenge my self to do more mile than the day before. I started at 3 miles so I had to push myself to do better, it took me a while but I did 4.5 miles. Every time we try to push yourself, the body adapts the next time.

This goes to your career or job. You have to strive to do better everyday. To be able to get that raise or promotion that you want. If we try our best everyday we can accomplish anything in life we just have to put that extra effort and determination.

Are Rules Meant To Be Broken?

When I think of rules, I think about boundaries that we can't cross or we will get introuble or punished for doing so. Rules are there to keep us from doing something that is morally wrong or legally wrong. But what if we didn't have rules, what if we lived life the way we wanted to and didn't have a moral compass to follow. How would life be without any rules?

I held an open house a few months back and I was handing out flyers around the neighborhood. It was a geourgous day that day and and I was walking along knocking on doors seeing if anyone would be interested or know anyone that would be interested in seeing the property. As I was walking along the side walk and I came apon a house and they has a sign  that said "no soliticing". Once I saw that I just kept walking because I know the rules and laws that come with that. Can you imagine if I left a flyer on their door step or knocked on their door. Let's just say I would be in court right now. Once you knock on that door your breaking the law. My punishment would be of monitary value because they speciflically said do not bother me, in not so nice words.

I heard a great answer from an older gentleman. He said, " Life would be unliveable without guidance". You don't drive a car in the middle of both lanes because you will cause an accident.

If we think about it deeper rules aren't just made to keep just myself safe, but to
Keep others safe too.

How would your life be if we didn't follow any rules or have any rules?

There's a lots of lanes to go around, it's pretty big and nice place, if you have never been there. They also have arcade area and batting cages for the kids and they also accommodate the adults, with there own bar area and billiard tables. Great for the whole family to enjoy.

The Park?

Friday is finally here! Today I decided to go to the park and get a little jog in, I visited Sam Ryno Park and also visited Strawberry Fields Park in Ceres (There like a block away from each other). Its been a while since I've been jogging, but I couldn't resist the morning was so beautiful. I ended up jogging a few miles, it really showed me how out of shape I was. But I plan to hopefully progress more as the days go by. I like to go to a verity of parks, just to keep everything new and exiting, If any one knows any great parks to go jogging at let me know.

Is it Really Love At First Sight?

When your trying to sell your house, from the stand point of the buyer, it only takes eight seconds. Eight seconds is all it takes for many buyers to have their opinion of your house. It's that quick, either they like your house or they don't. It's all about the appearance, how your house looks will decide whether your house rests on the real estate market or it sells quickly. I'll be sharing with you some tips that will help with selling your house quickly from the outside in.

The importance of dressing up your house from the outside is just as important as the inside. What your house looks from the street will set the tone of what buyers think of the house and if they want to purchase it.

  • Tidy Up - Rake leaves, sweep walkways and clear the front steps.
  • Color Splash - Brighten up your landscape with seasonal flowers, weed garden beds and remove dead shrubbery or trees.
  • Fresh Cut - Mow your lawn and edge the sidewalks for a manicured look.
  • Remove Clutter - Neatly stow garbage cans, gardening supplies and all unnecessary items out of sight in the garage or shed.
  • Face-lift - A fresh coat of paint on the front door, new doormats and clean windows will freshen up the house and make it seem newer.
  • Fuctionality - Fix or replace broken doorbells, outdoor lighting, wobbly handrails and loose paving stones.
  • Consider the Rear View - Buyers will want to see your backyard. The same rules apply: keep it tidy, colorful, and well-maintained, de-cluttered, and functional. Stow excess furniture and all children's toys.

When it comes to the inside of a house the marketability is all in the spacious area that a house presents. Many people look for homes that have enough room for themselves, husband or wife, there 3 kids, their 7 dogs, 4 cats, and so on. Its all about perception, in this case less is more. Give he buyers enough room to move around the home easily.

Suggestions:

  • Clean Up - Cleaning every room from top to bottom is an absolute must, including closets and cabinets. Don't forget to mop hardwood floors to make them shine.
  • De-clutter and De-personalize - Buyers want to imagine themselves living in your space. Help them by removing personal items, pictures and knickknacks from walls and tables.
  • Open Windows - Unless it's cold or noisy outside, open the windows to let in some fresh air, especially if your home has pets.
  • Make it Cozy - Check the thermostat to make sure potential buyers are comfortable enough to linger. Show off fireplaces by lighting them.
  • Awaken Other Senses - Bake some cookies, light a scented candle or play soft music  in the background. These subtle sensory stimuli can enhance the pleasant impression of your home.
  • Lighten Up - Make your home feel bright and alive - pull open windows coverings and turn on all the lights, even the ones over appliances and in closets.

Please don't make your house look like this.

And Remember Perception is Reality

In The Doctors Hands

I have been dreading this day for weeks. The day that I have to go to the doctors for a check-up. Whenever I go to the doctors it feels like there something new they want to find that's wrong with me. I never feel like I go to the doctors office just to get a check-up and leave with no problems. It always feels like I wait their for hours in the waiting room, just to tell me, ops sorry you have this and this wrong with you.

But as I get older and older I understand that its important to have that important check-up ever so often, to make sure everything is running properly and that I can function property as well.

I encourage everyone to make an appointment to get a check-up done in the near future. One of the most important things in life is to be able to be there for our family, so don't hesitate get a check-up at your local doctors office.

Last Option... Library

It's been a long time since I've been to the library. I have had all my resources at home or at the office I work at. The internet has made it easy for everything to be accessible in one place so there was really no reason for me to visit the library in the past, before now. Books, were all found in the comfort of my home with just a click of a button thru the internet. I remember a time when we needed to visit the library to do homework thru literature, no computers and everything we needed to know were in a book here or a book there. Life was a lot more physically demanding, especially with your back, carrying all those books.

Today i found myself going to the library and realizing that technology has helped us in many good and positive ways, being able to find things quick and easy. But also realized while being their that you get more interaction with the people that are around you, getting to socialize more and having that human to human interaction and having that adventure of finding your book or resource you need, brought back childhood memories.

But if your ever in the neighborhood come visit the Ceres Library down in Ceres, California. Its a little library but it will get you going on any resource you need.
